Divisional Players are all players born 1996-2002
If you wish to be considered for any Divisional team, please register by April 15th. West Vancouver no longer holds tryouts (except for District MSL teams). Players will be placed at the Gold, Silver or Bronze level depending on the results of our scouting process. If a player chooses to play at the Bronze level and does not want to be considered for Gold or Silver, then please indicate that on the registration form. On April 16th and after a late fee will be charged. We would like ALL returning Divisional players registered by April 15th whatever level they play but we will continue to accept Bronze level registrations until teams are full.
- Players returning from a District team
- Players new to WVSC
- Players planning to play for WVSC if not selected for HPL or Tier 2
Boys returning from District Select teams or players new to West Vancouver Soccer, please register online by April 15th. If you are trying out for HPL or an MSL team not based in WV but want to play in WV if you fail to make a team, register online by April 15th choosing the "cheque" option for payment. All those players who live or go to school in West Van or played on a WV team in a prior season will be considered for our select teams. They may be placed on a select team in West Vancouver as long as they are registered by April 15th. Players who do not live or go to school in WV may also be considered for our teams.

West Vancouver Soccer Club Metro Soccer League Tryouts
Metro Soccer League, MSL, will begin its second season this fall. MSL is the top level of Club play for players U13 to U18. Teams from around the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island comprise the teams that compete. MSL is a highly competitive league that focuses on developing players for the possibility of advancing to the next and highest level of soccer, British Columbia Soccer Premier League.
Players from outside of WVSC are welcome to be assessed for one of the club’s MSL teams. Please register for tryouts on the WVSC web site under "registration" and then "MSL evaluations". Each non WVSC player must have his or her previous coach complete a written evaluation form. The form can be found on the WVSC Home page under the General Info button. Click on the documents link to find the Coach’s Evaluation Form. Once completed, please email the evaluation to Betty Dodson, WVSC MSL Administrator at bdodson@shaw.ca
The MSL fee of $650 covers the increased costs associated with playing MSL soccer. This includes everything from turf and grass field rentals, second practice time slots, higher referee costs, the availability of professional coaches, and the general disproportionate allocations of time and resources by the Club in favour of MSL teams. Each MSL team in the Club places different demands on the system, and as a result the $650 fee simply represents an average fee to cover the overall costs of the WVSC MSL program.
- Non West Van Players please email msl-coord@westvansoccer.com with prior coach's evaluation
- Please register for evaluations (tryouts) under "Registration" on the Home Page
- For Season registration (once notified and placed on an MSL team), click on link below
MSL SEASON REGISTRATION WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL THE TRYOUTS ARE OVER. ONLY WHEN THE TEAMS ARE FORMED WILL PLAYERS BE TOLD TO REGISTER
